[scons-dev] Newbie help with test failures

Message Hi all,

I'd like to play around with the SCons source a bit, so I cloned the
Mercurial repo. I figured I'd run the tests to establish a baseline, and
I get a bunch of failures (40):

  - One in test/Fortran/F77PATH.py
  - Two in test/Java/*
  - 25 in test/MSVC/* [should these even be running on Linux?]
  - One in test/QT/warnings.py
  - 11 in test/TEX/*

Is this "expected"? Should I do anything about them, or just ignore
those failures? From what I can tell I have the latest version of the
repository, 2624:c5ee220bddfa. (I haven't really used Hg before.)

I'm on an old RHEL 5 system. There are also potentially environment
changes I've made that cause weird effects; e.g. I had to remove some
stuff from my $PATH so it would pick up the "right" GCC.

I've attached the full output from the failing tests.

Evan
